I design and build considered digital products
Interfaces that feel effortless, systems that scale, and details that reward a second look.
For the last six years, I've partnered with founders, studios, and product teams to move ideas from whiteboard to production. My practice sits at the seam of visual design and engineering โ typography, motion, accessibility, and clean TypeScript, treated as one craft rather than four handoffs.
I care about the invisible parts: how a page loads, how a button feels the moment before it's pressed, how a design system holds up in year three. Currently taking on select engagements โ brand-forward marketing sites, product design sprints, and full-stack builds.
import { Developer } from '@hamii/core';
const developer = new Developer({
name: 'Hamid Ali',
standards: ['Taste', 'Speed', 'Depth']
});
// Shipping ideas, not prototypes
developer.ship({
frontend: ['React', 'Next.js', 'GSAP'],
backend: ['Node', 'Postgres', 'Auth'],
performance: '100/100 Lighthouse'
});
My Technical Arsenal
Stuff I use every day to design and build websites and apps.
Services / What I build
A small studio's range, shipped by one person who cares about the seams.
Web Design
Editorial-grade marketing sites that carry a brand instead of decorating it.
- โ Discovery, wireframes and moodboards
- โ Custom typographic system + color language
- โ Motion direction (GSAP, scroll storytelling)
- โ Responsive across every real device
Full-Stack Development
Ship the product, not a prototype. Typed, tested and deploy-ready from day one.
- โ React / Next / TanStack Start front-ends
- โ Node, Postgres, edge functions, auth
- โ Payments, dashboards and admin tooling
- โ CI, previews and clean handoff docs
UI / UX Design
Product surfaces that feel obvious to use and last past their first release.
- โ User flows, IA and interaction models
- โ Design system in Figma with real tokens
- โ Prototyping and usability iteration
- โ Accessibility baked in, not bolted on
Brand & Visual Identity
A calm, confident visual language โ logo, type, color, and how they behave.
- โ Naming direction & positioning
- โ Wordmark / monogram exploration
- โ Type pairings, palette and motion cues
- โ Brand guidelines you'll actually open
Motion & Interaction
Cinematic scroll, hover and page transitions that reward attention.
- โ GSAP + ScrollTrigger choreography
- โ Framer Motion micro-interactions
- โ Custom cursors, magnetic buttons, parallax
- โ 60 fps on entry-level phones
SEO & Performance
Sites that load in a blink and get found โ clean core web vitals, structured data.
- โ Lighthouse audits and Core Web Vitals
- โ Semantic HTML, schema, sitemaps
- โ Image, font and JS budget discipline
- โ Analytics wired to real user outcomes
Process / How I work
Seven steps, no ceremony โ just enough structure to keep momentum without smothering the work.
Discovery
Day 1โ3A short, unhurried conversation. Goals, constraints, audience, and the one measurable outcome that will decide if this worked.
Direction
Week 1Moodboards, references and a written point of view before a single Figma file opens. If we disagree, it's cheapest here.
Design
Week 1โ2Type, color, motion and layout โ designed as a system, not as screens. You see real components, not marketing shots.
Build
Week 2โ4Typed React, semantic HTML, and animations that respect the CPU. Deployed on every commit with a preview URL to try.
Refine
Week 4Real content, real devices, real users. We tune performance, accessibility and the small details that decide the feel.
Launch
Ship dayDNS, analytics, sitemap, structured data, redirects โ the boring parts done properly. Zero-downtime cutover.
Aftercare
30 days includedBug fixes, tweaks and answered questions on Discord or email. Optional monthly retainer if you want a long-term partner.
Why me / What you get
The reasons founders keep re-hiring me โ quiet, boring, and easy to work with.
One person, one throat to choke
You brief me and I ship. No handoffs, no lost context, no PM tax between design and code.
Design that ships
Figma files are only a promise. I judge my work by how the built site feels on a real phone at 3G.
Typed, tested, boring in the good way
TypeScript everywhere, linted, formatted, and reviewed against a checklist. Fewer surprises at 2am.
Performance is a design decision
Fonts, images, JS and third-party scripts are budgeted, not accidental. Green Core Web Vitals or it doesn't ship.
Accessible by default
Semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, focus states and contrast โ not a launch-week retrofit.
Sensible pricing, no scope games
Fixed-fee projects with a written scope. If we grow it, we grow it together in the open.
You keep everything
Your repo, your accounts, your domains. Clean handoff docs so any developer can pick up where I left off.
Answered on Discord in hours

GamingKind words / Testimonials
A short list of honest words from people I've built with.
"Hamid operates at a rare intersection of taste, speed and technical depth. He shipped in weeks what our previous team couldn't in months."
"One of the few developers who genuinely improves the design as he builds it. Every detail felt considered โ nothing was left to a default."
"Fast, calm, and absurdly thorough. He asked the questions our PM should have asked and delivered a product our team is still proud of."
"We came for a marketing site and left with a design system. The build was on time, on scope, and the handoff docs are still in use."
"The kind of collaborator you write a testimonial for without being asked. Zero drama, high standards, and a real point of view."
"Motion, accessibility, performance โ three things most freelancers ignore. Hamid treats them as the job, not the polish."
